Hi There Guys,
OK, straight
to the story of the week - to say we have had some SQL problems
in recent days is a slight understatement, but rest assured,
your sales were NOT affected. See the important note
below.
You should
also be aware that the stats inside the Curious Cash members
have now been reset. This will happen on the 1st of every
month from now on. See the 2nd important note down below.
On our
banner competition.....
We have been
impressed with what has been submitted thus far - so much so in
fact, that we have decided to extend the deadline by 2 WEEKS ! Some
webmasters were concerned that less than a week hardly gave them
the opportunity to schedule in some time to make some extra cash
by submitting banners and even win the $100 first prize - you
talked, we listened, so more time for all to get a piece of the
action.
And just FYI

Of ALL the
banners we have received to date, there are ONLY 2 that we will
not pay for. Just a hint folks, don't do a static banner,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON YOUR STATISTICS
Stats have now been reset.
Hopefully from now on in you will see accurate data. If you have
any problems with data not displaying for certain sites, please
email
webmaster@curiouscash.com so I can go through each issue
with a fine tooth comb. Stats will be reset each month from now
on in, and we hope to also have an archive available for you at
the end of July so you can view previous months stats. Please
still login to
CCBill to view your sales which are correct in real time. We
rely on data to be sent from CCBill to us to produce the sales
stats, so the most accurate sales figures you will see will be
in CCBill. Our system also doesn't take in Chargebacks or
refunds at this point, CCBill does.

Now This Is *REALLY* Important - Take #2 |

SQL PROBLEMS WITHIN CURIOUS CASH
Over the past
few days people have experienced SQL problems with our site
which has stopped access to this area and all CuriousCash
functions. This error was the result of an attack on our
Database which we subsequently had to move to increase the
protection of this information. Basically as a result we had to
turn off all outside connections which meant the only sites
which could connect to the Database were the Sites listed under
CuriousCash. This means Sales Tracking was as normal, however
Traffic Stats and CuriousCash itself were affected. This problem
has now been resolved, and measures have been put in place to
try to avoid the same thing happening in the future. The first
thing we will always try to protect is your Sales (which were
not affected here), and we worry about cosmetic things second. |
